Dear Friends,

I first met Yasir Naqvi over 20 years ago when he applied for an articling position at my law firm in Ottawa. Hiring him was one of the best decisions I ever made! He went on to become a superb lawyer, a trusted colleague, and a dear friend. A few years later, I was delighted to see him achieve political success as MPP, Ontario cabinet minister, including two years as Attorney General, and then a federal MP and Parliamentary Secretary. I am thrilled that he is now running for the leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party, and I am very proud to support his efforts. Yasir will be a great leader for the Ontario Liberal Party - the Party needs to rebuild and reconnect with Ontarians and I believe Yasir is the man for the job.

But running a leadership campaign requires financial support, and I hope I can convince you to help. You can do so by buying a ticket to an event with Yasir on Wednesday August 9th, 5:30PM-7:30PM, at 77 King St. W., 4th floor.  This will be a great opportunity to meet Yasir and hear his ideas and plans for the OLP and the province.
